Then you are exactly right with us. Our systems can be equipped very individually as well as very universally. Whether you only need a few testing tasks for a single fabrication part in very large quantities, or you want a system that is equipped with a large number of testing options in order to be prepared for a wide range of your parts - both is possible and welcome at GEFRA.

One of our most recently built systems was equipped with a large number of different test stations, with which dimensional tests, SFS surface tests, contour tests and hardness tests can be carried out in one single system
Based on the OPTISORT W800 (glass disk machine) we use our multiple proven telecentric measurement inspection in vertical and horizontal direction in the first unit. In the next station, the surface of the part is checked from above and below for irregularities and scratches using our SFS technology.
Followed by testing the parts with a bright field illumination from below and from above. This station is used, for example, to check a sealing lip on the component. An eddy current test is installed one position further, here the material properties are checked and differences, e.g. in hardness, are determined. On the last station, a color camera is installed from above and below to check for color differences, oxidation or coating defects. A total of 8 cameras in 6 stations (2 of them as SFS) and one eddy current device are used for this highly developed system.

The lighting of the individual stations is moved by a motor and the positions are saved in the inspection plan for each production part. If the item is checked again later, all lightings will be automatically moved to the correct position.
In order to ensure efficient utilization of the system, the machine is equipped with a special feeding device, on which the bowl of the vibration feeder can be exchanged in some quick simple steps. This makes it possible to reduce the set-up time to just a few minutes when changing to another test part.
GEFRA offers OptiSort inspection and sorting machines in two different basic machine types:
- OptiSort ST with steel ring disc for testing fasteners, screws, blind rivets and long rod-shaped parts
- OptiSort W with glass disc for testing nuts, washers, rivets and other flat parts

Up to 2100 parts per minute can be tested, depending on the size of the parts and the inspection task.
Our portfolio starts with checking the dimensional accuracy of production parts such as shaft diameter, head diameter, thread parameters, contours, etc. In addition, we can check for surface defects, scratches, cracks, symmetry, straightness, flatness, ovality, pattern matching, and differences in material quality or hardness. Using color cameras, it is possible to detect deviations in surface colors, e.g. coating errors. The SFS (shape from shading) process can also be integrated into our systems.
Our user-friendly software GEFRA AutoControl is menu-driven with image entry and is mostly self-explanatory, requiring minimal training.
