Check long pieces of pipe and flange nuts on a system
If the range of parts to be tested is a challenge, the GEFRA specialists demonstrate their skills.
For this purpose, we at GEFRA have designed a system that can be converted from large to small for all components with little effort. Long, heavy, top-heavy pipe pieces in various designs, with and without flanges, as well as flat flange nuts, are fed in the correct position on the same feeder and checked in the testing system according to the criteria.
With the GEFRA OPTISORT W800 it is possible to move the pipe sections through the testing stations at the appropriate speed while standing on the glass plate. These include dimensional testing, internal thread testing, chip testing, crack testing and hardness testing using the eddy current method.
From the low, flat fitting to the 450 gram, top-heavy pipe piece with a height of 130 mm and a footprint of just 25 mm, the range of parts is very diverse. The feed can be set up for another part within a few minutes; appropriate quick-change inserts are available for this purpose. These are designed so individually that similar products can also be safely fed and placed on the glass plate in the future.
