OPTICON, a Stand Alone Test Bench for OPTISORT Inspection Systems
The OPTICON test bench is used for pre inspection and feasibility studies.
New Products or specific errors on the part, which have to be detected on an OPTISORT inspection system afterwards, can be inspected and set up independently in advance on the OPTICON test bench. During this time, all OPTISORT inspection systems continue to run without the downtime that would otherwise be required for these preliminary examinations
This makes it possible to independently provide a statement about the feasibility of a test before setting it up on the inspection system. The AUTOCONTROL software on the test bench is identical to that on the inspection system, and is only slightly expanded to accommodate manual operation of the test bench.
New employees can be trained and educated at the OPTICON test bench. The resulting values and settings in the inspection plans can easily be transferred to the OPTISORT inspection systems, making setting up a new product easier and faster. Here too, the setup time on the inspection system is reduced to a minimum.

Three different camera systems with rotating component holding devices were installed in this test bench. Several inspection parts can be inserted into these and positioned repeatedly under the camera.
