What good is a fast sorting system without fast feeding and packaging?

On request, we at GEFRA also offer our inspection systems with complete peripherals. This means that we not only manufacture the test cell, but also the feeding and packaging devices and adapt them to our inspection and sorting systems. This is how we create profitable machines that can provide the appropriate performance over a long term in day-to-day use.

Our test cell OPTISORT W800 was the basis of a recently built complete system. A glass disc inspection device with two telecentric axes, eddy current inspection, top/bottom thread inspection, an incident light station top/bottom, a 6-camera 360° thread inspection, two sorting outputs and camera-monitored ejection control, as well as the option of using a grooved disk.
However, such a high-performance test cell can only be as fast as its peripherals, similar to driving a race car downtown.

We have specially designed the feeding device to the parts to be tested and optimized it in order to get the maximum possible performance. Nevertheless, it is so individual that another part can be checked and sorted after just some few simple steps.

The packaging device is also designed and built at GEFRA. It consists of two roller conveyors that serve as a buffer for empty and full containers. The packaging can automatically process cardboard boxes in two different sizes as well as large and small KLT containers. Here, it is also possible to convert the packaging to a different container in just a few minutes.

All connected devices are controlled by our machine software AUTOCONROL with precise part quantities.
This is how a modern "plug and play" system was created, which can work independently for a long period of time without an operator thanks to sufficient buffers in the infeed and outfeed.
